Concordia College is a private college in Moorhead, Minnesota and was founded in 1891. The award-winning nickname for the 22 different athletic teams is “Cobbers”. It has been featured by ESPN and many national media outlets as one of the Top 10 most unique nicknames in all of college sports. Concordia competes in NCAA Division III and is a part of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC). Cobber teams have won multiple national championships and individual student/athletes have been crown national champions and gone on to compete in the Olympics and in professional sports.
